In somewhat of a surprise, composer ALEXANDER DESPLAT wins the Golden Globe for Best Score. Winning over a diverse field of entries for this category including: Hans Zimmer's THE DA VINCI CODE and Clint Mansell's THE FOUNTAIN, Desplat takes home the little gold globe for 2006. desplat's score for painted veil seems nice...but his scoring of the Queen is rather annoying.
